What's On at PPRBC

KidsClub

KidsClub is an inclusive youth club held every Friday at 6:30pm in the church hall, welcoming young people aged 3 to 20.

It’s a space where everyone can come together to socialise, play games, and have fun in a relaxed and supportive environment.

We also host exciting events throughout the year, creating opportunities for connection and community. KidsClub is open to all, regardless of age or faith, and we encourage everyone to come as they are and simply enjoy being part of this vibrant group !

Praise Clinic

Experience the power of praise and worship at the Praise Clinic, held

every second Saturday of the month at 6pm.

Join us for an uplifting time of music, prayer, and connection with God, led by Pastor Tayo.

This special time offers an opportunity to connect deeply with God, offering our gratitude and adoration through song and prayer. Praise and worship serve as an essential part of our spiritual journey, drawing us closer to God and strengthening our faith.

Football & Focus

Football and Focus is an exciting group for young people aged 9+ who want to stay active and share their thoughts in a relaxed, familiar environment!

Every Wednesday at 5:30pm, the team—Peckham Baptist United—meets for a lively football session, led by Sunny Ighorae.

After the match, the group comes together to chat about life, current issues, and whatever's on their minds, often while enjoying some chicken and chips.

It’s the perfect opportunity to have fun, stay fit, and connect with others in a supportive and friendly space!

JAWA - Just As We Are

JAWA is a women's group dedicated to fostering connection, support, and faith. Our meetings are primarily open to women from Peckham Park Road Baptist Church (PPRBC), but women outside the church may join us by invitation.

We gather twice a month on Fridays at 7:30 PM to:

  • Pray together
  • Socialise and build friendships
  • Support one another through all areas of life

God is at the centre of everything we do.

At JAWA, we strive for Sisterhood, walking together in faith and fellowship.

LOVO - Ladies of Virtue Outreach

"LOVO is a not-for-profit organisation working to improve the employability and wellbeing of marginalised women and their families, who mostly come from minoritised communities. We aim to foster a secure and stimulating environment that equips women with professional and personal skills, and engages them in self-care activities to inspire them to live healthy and fulfilling lives.

Our services include professional training courses (in-person and online), mentorship, and advisory services. We run a weekly day center where women can participate in creative and wellbeing activities, come out of isolation and meet new people, or simply enjoy some ‘ME’ time."

Mind the Gap Africa

Mind the Gap Africa is a remarkable charity founded by Jenny Hensman, a dedicated member of Peckham Park Road Baptist Church.

The vision for Mind the Gap Africa is to create a thriving community where children and young adults who have been orphaned or are vulnerable find safety, support and the opportunity to flourish.

"Founded in 2006 Mind the Gap’s mission is to rescue and restore children and young adults who have been orphaned or are vulnerable, from hardship, by providing them with safe residential care, comprehensive support, and a nurturing environment.

We aspire to be a beacon of hope by extending our impact to the surrounding community and other charitable institutions in the spirit of ubuntu (togetherness)."

The Junior Apprentice

During the summer, Peckham Park Road Baptist Church (PPRBC) works alongside The HEBE Foundation to deliver The Junior Apprentice, a scheme inspired by The Apprentice.

This accredited Business & Leadership programme is designed for young people

aged 13–19.

The three-week summer programme features a series of business challenges that develop essential skills such as marketing, pitching, budgeting, and social action.

Participants aged 17+ have the opportunity to mentor as youth workers. Exciting prizes, including cash and tablets, are awarded, and year-round activities like mentoring and workshops ensure continued support and engagement for young people.
